I was waiting for the lift this morning. When the lift door opened, I had a shocked n took a step back. Inside the lift stood a very fair ger without make up, long hair and no eye brow. I thought I saw a ghost. :D

Huge explosion rocks central Bangkok - casualties reported.

There has been a large explosion close to a shrine in the centre of the Thai capital, Bangkok.

The BBC's Jonathan Head, who is at the scene, says there appear to be both dead and injured, amid a huge amount of chaos.

He says there is a massive amount of damage and a crater that indicates this could be a bomb.

Our correspondent says that if it is a bomb, this would be a rare attack for the capital.

There are reports of injuries after an explosion at Bangkok's Ratchaprasong intersection on Monday (Aug 17).

BANGKOK: A huge explosion rocked Bangkok's commercial hub on Monday evening (Aug 17).

The explosion took place near the Ratchprasong intersection and photos on Twitter showed a car ablaze on the scene.
There are reports of several people injured after the blast occured near the Erawan shrine tourist attraction but officials have yet to confirm this.
A Voice of America reporter at the scene Steve Herman said he saw six people on the ground.
