Yes it is a fact not a prediction, that Sing has gone down by more than 10% since the start the economic crisis. We all know that.

What we need is an oracle wo can tell us where it is going from 4.40?:cool:

Hotels rate have come down around 10 plus% and transportation cost (private car) is also down about 10%. So that help to offset the drop of Sing vs RMB. Unfortuately KTV, massage and meimei cost has remain unchange.

The below are copied from SGX website and I believe the drivers only get about 70% of the fare from SGX. So there is NO reason to pay more than the SGX Rate. If you want to squeeze your driver, 90% or even 80% SGX rate is possible.
Eg. CA to SZ airport- 100 to 110 is the going market rate now.:cool:

Yes...Sin$ will go weaker vs the rmb .. No doubt abt that....No other way.....
But by how much ? only God knows ????

Now that British pound n the Korean won has depreciated so much against the USD. and that seem to work for their export figures.... China is thinking of depreciating the rmb too....

But watever China s going to do...Spore already jump starts sliding the SIN $ liao... Watever Chinadoes, big guns like US n European Union r watching n protesting against her move...Spore got no one cares.....

Singapore main income s from exports....n its heading way south......

Good idea and a veri nice analysis......

I like to add one more point to consider which is very important...

Know the size n condition of the "自小客" n "商務車"....

I ever took one cheap car to SZ. It turn out to be a veri small n uncomfortable "china made" small 1.3litre car. So small that the leg space is like sitting on a budget airline n the car was not properly clean. Luckily only 2 passengers. Not comfortable at all. I ll pay 20rmb more for a more comfy car anytime....

Wif a regular car at least we know wat to expect.....hehe.

Anyhow, it's a good guideline for transport in CP/CA. Well done.
