After dominating Bali headlines for the past week, Saudi Arabian King Salman has wrapped up his holiday in Bali.

The king left Bali on Sunday, flying on to Japan for an eight-day vacation in one of the world’s most famous tourist resorts. The day before, 16.6 tons of cargo were flown out to Japan from Bali on a Saudi plane.

The royal’s departure shut down Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport for a reported 45 minutes, delaying 18 flights, according to Antara. His arrival had similarly caused delays.

“Thirteen of those flights were domestic flights, while the remaining five were international,” Ngurah Rai spokesman Arie Ahsanurrohim said on Sunday.

The king and an entourage of more than 1,000 came to Bali on March 4 following a trip to Jakarta for a state visit during the king’s Asian tour.

The group was spread out across luxury hotels in the island’s south, including the Mulia, The Laguna, Bulgari in Uluwatu, and the St. Regis, where King Salman himself was staying.
