if u are not in a group, beware of conmen. Diagonally opposite the railway station is a hotel called Xin Ya Jiu Dian (Hotel). Along the main road, perpendicular 2 the road in front of railway station, is Tian Shang Ren Jian or Jin Bi Hui Huang (I cant really remember). It's an entertainment chain group in PRC, the expenses in there's not cheap.

Walking further down, u will come across something like a tri-angle traffic junction. Walk further up, u'll be in something like the town center, quite some shops, supermarts, shopping centers, restaurants, etc. Quite some discos & KTVs r located above inside these buildings. These discos/KTVs are lower priced.

If u make a "u-turn" at the "tri-angle" junction, u will come 2 an area with quite some small pubs, similar 2 those Boat Quay small scale pubs. These pubs r more frequented by the local gangsters, quite some drug consumption in there. But I should say I'm lucky 2 be acquainted wif some local rich young gals there (regulars, some kinda mini-big sister).

There's oso small run-down / low-grade KTVs in that area. Be v careful about the KTVs in that area!!! I'd seen non-locals (non-Wuxi residents) kena chopped carrot head there! 1 of the common modus operandi is tat the conmen or runners will be hanging around tat tri-angle junction. These fellows r farking observant!!! They look at yr dress code, yr eyes / visual expression, they can tell u r not local & they'll approach u, asking & telling u got cheap entertainment wif gals' coy, etc etc. Imagine, they can quote u 100 RMB for gals' service! Pls, in PRC, BBS dun usually engage such runners, & KTVs / saunas where got so cheap?

They'll likely bring u to 1 of those entertainment estabs (the KTVs r usually KTV on some 2nd or 3rd or higher floor inside 1 of the many adjacent buildings) on tat street wif those small scale estabs. Then they'll hand u over 2 the estabs 2 be "taken care of". U may be amazed, but they have the network 2 call several gals down 4 u 2 choose, 2 keep u company, like KTV gals. When the bill comes, it's likely gonna be several thousand RMB, excluding tapao the gal back home/hotel. In many cases of "tapao", the "KTV" gal, or yr female "escort" would say go change into another dress 2 go back wif u, but she'll actually disappear, leaving the male staff to handle the bill wif u!!! The same runners oso operate in SuZhou, oso along the pub street in SuZhou (Shi Quan Jie)!!!

In any case, I'd advise, go 2 the buildings around Xi Lai Deng (Sheraton), there's several KTVs cum disco/pubs there, but they're all inside the buildings' upper floors. But 1 of the most popular pub wif the locals is somewhere along the backstreet of the market area, sorry, I cant remember the name of the road nor club, but it' within 10 mins' walking distance from Xi Lai Deng. Anyway, it's oso rather run-down.

The most interesting is, the red light district, the BBSes is juz next 2 a hospital (bone specialist, if I remember correctly). The nearby streets, which is oso near Liang Xi Qiao (bridge, if I remember the name correctly), there's quite some FLs hanging around the nearby roads. Can tapao the BBS gals back home/hotel, juz pay the standard price (ST or LT) + 50 RMB taxi fare for tapao. U can oso do it inside the BBS, then save the 50 RMB taxi fare tapao fee.
