And, sadly, the UK doesn’t even make the top ten.

The Legatum Institute, a London-based think tank, has released its annual Prosperity Index.

It measures variables including per-capita gross domestic product and the number of people in full-time work.

Here are the top ten:

1. Norway



2. Switzerland



3. Denmark





4. New Zealand




5. Sweden



6. Canada



7. Australia



8. Netherlands




9. Finland



10. Ireland
