Re: persistent NGU

May I suggest that you consume spirulina. It will help strengthen your immune system and allow your body to heal naturally. RED SUN is a very good brand from Japan and is available at Guardian Pharmacy.

Re: persistent NGU

Hi bro,

I hope you fix this NGU soon.

My experience with an NGU, only one course of antibiotics, and it was fixed. I'd say, it was fixed within a 10 to 12 day period, upon taking the antibiotics. That's just the duration of the antibiotics, so I don't know if it may have cleared up before then. But immediately after taking the antibiotics, no more discharge.

Anyway, the doctor told me that some cases do recur, even if those were in the minority. I don't remember what else he told me to do or not to do, what not to eat etc. But if you doctor gave you any such advice, follow it to the letter, because you want to clear it ASAP.

Ask him for what else you can do to speed up the process of healing. Itching there is damn irritating, I know. But you must tahan and pretty soon you'll wake up and you'll no longer have that problem. That morning will be fun, I tell you.

Good luck, and get well real soon!

Re: persistent NGU

Hi bro:

The symptoms I encountered when kena NGU was just discharge--pus looking discharge when I wake up in the morning, coming out of my dickhead. I didn't even get the burning sensation.

I mentioned the itching when referring to the urethral itching that bro 7ele11 brought up in his question. Not necessarily as a symptom of NGU.

As for your itching, if it persists (and I think it has if it's been on for a "few weeks" based on your description), go see a doctor. There's no way of telling what it is without a proper examination. Itching (regardless of where on your body it is) can be caused by a variety of reasons--including even allergies, believe it or not. Wah, candida damn sian, it's fungal right? How long did it take go away? I hate fungal problems!!! Only some greedy doctors have fun with them because they take what feels like forever to go away, so you have to keep going back to them for medication.

Antibiotics have no effect whatsoever on viruses. They can only be used against bacterial infections.

Yeah mine was down to fungal infection....at one stage it was quite stubborn kept coming back a month or so after the last treatment....but now just get a tube of antifungal cream from pharmacy and apply myself....also found out Durex too strong for my dick as leaves the skin dry and cracked....but balls and skin on the shaft of dick seems to be a bit dry so sometimes scratch so shiok until skin break....

Re: persistent NGU

My sympathies, bro Frankiestine! I know how damn irritating fungal problems can be. I had a problem first appeared in my crotch, then on my chest--not too horrible looking, no itching, but took months and months and hundreds and hundreds of Sing $ on Sporanox and some bastardes dermatologist, and in the end it was my own defence system that cleared them off.

At the time, thought STD or STD-related or what. But eventually went to see a real dermatologist, skin specialist at the National Skin Centre (must wait for weeks and weeks to get an appointment to see one, cannot walk in and see doctor one), who gave me one course of medication, then said, "Aiyah, no lah. Your body is taking its time to clear the fungal crap, because you too stressed out and tired. Go and rest, and if those two remaining dots on your chest don't disappear in two weeks' time, then only come back. If gone already, don't waste money here anymore lah."

Guess what? It was gone in three days!

During those months, cannot reuse towels, reuse clothes, reuse underwear (not that I do that, ah, but just saying), clothes must use real disinfectant to wash, cannot bathe with Dettol soap etc.

My doc also prescribe Sporanox says it is faster and better then applying cream but very expensive....but I heard not too good to keep taking becos of side effects like kidney damage...

Re: persistent NGU

Yup. But there's another drug for fungal problems even more expensive called Difflucan. And what's worse than that is it doesn't always work.

Yup, kidney damage risk. That's why I had to get tested on how my liver and kidneys were doing before the doc at the NSC gave me another course of Sporanox.

U mean u took more then one course of Sporanox, the doc only gave me about five days worth of it as he told me that the effect is actually immediate but to continue for a few days consecutively just to clear up any backends....

Re: persistent NGU

Yup, I took it for weeks. I think about two months' worth, if not more. That's why when I went to the NSC, the doc there said to take a blood test to check on the status of my kidneys and/or liver, before giving me another 4 week course.

Generally, the effect of Sporanox is immediate. But my case was chronic and took forever to clear. The doc at the NSC told me because the fungal crap had gotten into my system already, probably because I left it unattended and didn't try to tackle it till quite late, plus the first doc I saw about the problem treated it as a bacteria problem, not a fungal problem, which made it worse.

Every part of our bodies, including our mouths and our skin, has an ecosystem of good and bad bacteria and fungal crap. When you wipe out all the bacteria, the fungal crap takes over and runs riot all over the place because it is not fighting with the bacteria to maintain a balance of power.

Another factor which screwed up the balance of power was my frequent use of Dettol and Dettol soap at the time. I figured the Dettol would kill everything. I figured wrong. What my doc told me was that Dettol does a great job of wiping out bacteria, not such a good job of killing fungal crap.

Other factors include that I am a sweaty person. I figured the natural salinity of my sweat would kill off the damn germs (bacteria and fungal crap). I figured wrong again! Fungal crap loves humid environments, sweaty environments included.

That's why so chronic and had to take it forever to clear.

It wasn't like one huge patch of fungal crap. It was like last four days, got four red dots on the shoulder, take medicine and they fade away, but then the next four days four dots on my back, take medicine and before those fade away fully another four dots go to my chest...It's like the different parts of my body were taking turns to have fungal crap.

Damn sian.

Woh my sympathies bro seems like u had a tough time with this fungal problem. Mine wasn't too bad just that the dick head itch alot....so everytime when I outside and the dick itch.....had to slip my hands into pocket and scratch....so most of the time for convenience sake wear loose pants...but had to keep condition away from the old lady if not she will start putting it down to me fucking around behind her back.....only later when she had some thrust and needed to see doc, me seize opportunity and went for treatment together with her....
