Survive of course can la....2.5K sing dollars is almost 60k baht, a princely sum. With that you can live more comfortably than the average Thai & possibly even replicate your Singapore lifestyle but no expensive chionging sessions thats for sure.

Well for starters a "studio" apartment with all the amenities of a condo can be rented from as low as B$5,000 (if you are not picky with the location), for that amount you cant get even a common rm in a HDB flat. not to mention cheaper food, transport, women You can do the math come December

There might be a stickler though as new immigration rules last Oct allows those on tourist visas to stay up to 90 days only.....not sure strictly enforced or not....maybe expat bros there can shed some light

Totally agreed. . I had an studio apartment there few years ago at 4500B which is located at Ratchada. Food is real cheap by road side, say 35-50 for simple meal with drinks then.

bro .. the S$2.5K is ur take home pay or ur salary ??
Employee in SIN enjoy many benefits like CPF contribution from employer, medical benefits, AWS, bonus, transport & phone allowances etc etc ...
work that out and it can be quite a substanial amount ...
unless u r pay expartiate package, there r expenses u need to consider when staying alone in bkk ... it's not onli abt accomodation rental ..
do ur sum carefully ...

holidaying in bkk is totally different from staying and working in bkk ...
ur evaluation while holidaying in bkk could give u a wrong result ..

remembering ... ur lifestyle will need to have a complete change to adapt for survival ..

my 2 baht sense ...

hmmmm .. this seems old thread but the topic is Worth for a serious discussion if any bros. hav plan to work and live in a totally different place from home ... as adidias88 said .. by my calcs at least u need S$0.7 - 1k to cover for a comfortably average living expenses here, incl. housing, eat, transport. Don't forget this is a big city away from home, can sometimes be expensive and pleasssse, you cant control tight budget everyday.

Re: Job Opportunities in Bangkok

Due to recession and enconmy inflation staying in bangkok with 2.5k 10 years back and now is a big diff bro....... bro adidas is right holidaying mode is different from planting your flag and perking there.
