Following the success of our recent trip to Chengdu, Chongqing, and Xi’an in May, we originally planned to continue our journey by exploring Qingdao, Yantai, and Weihai in Shandong Province on June 16. However, due to recent instability in Qingdao’s entertainment scene, our local contacts — particularly those involved in nightclub and KTV operations — advised us to postpone our visit. They’ve recommended that we explore alternative cities for the time being and extended an invitation to return once the situation improves.

After thoughtful discussions and assessments, Team Phillip has decided to shift our focus to Changsha, Hunan, for our next tour. Many of you may already be familiar with Changsha’s vibrant and well-known nightlife—it consistently ranks at the top in China for after-dark entertainment. It’s said that the streets of Changsha remain bustling even at 3 or 4 AM, a testament to the city's energetic nightlife culture.

In recent conversations with local colleagues, we discovered that Changsha boasts nearly 20 high-traffic KTV venues, including some uniquely styled “braless wild” KTVs that rival the experiences found in Xi’an, Chongqing, and Chengdu. These establishments offer a range of entertainment options that are both diverse and exciting, attracting visitors from all over China.

Personally, I visited Changsha once before Covid, leading a group of friends from Singapore. We visited a few KTVs during that trip, and I was struck by the vibrant energy and atmosphere. Most of the hostesses were good looking young girl native to Hunan—cheerful, energetic, and very engaging. I recall being surprised that such talent wasn’t seen more often in Guangdong, but I quickly realized that Changsha has become an emerging hotspot where they can build a rewarding career in the local entertainment industry.

Now, in 2025, Team Phillip is officially expanding our development into the Changsha nightclub scene. For those who are curious or interested in joining us, we invite you to be part of this exciting journey.

This trip to Changsha will start from June 16th to June 20th. During the day, we’ll visit some of Changsha’s iconic attractions, sample authentic Hunan cuisine, and unwind with local massage experiences. Each night, we’ll explore some of the most popular and entertaining KTV venues Changsha has to offer. We’ll also be sharing daily updates and reviews of our KTV experiences via the SBF-sponsored thread and on my WeChat Moments. Recently, many brothers have read my posts on forums or Moments and asked about the cost of joining my tour. Let me explain briefly here. In fact, joining my tour is completely free because I personally lead it. During the day, you can sleep in as long as you wish, then explore local attractions and discover delicious food. If you're feeling tired, you can even treat yourself to a massage — these are all personal expenses. The main highlight happens at night. I’ll arrange visits to various KTV venues. I’ll provide you with all the cost details in advance, including the expenses for the mummy, DJ, waiter, and girls, so you’ll have a clear idea of what to expect. The costs for wine and beer in the room will be divided based on the number of people in the group. Generally, we start at 8:30 pm and continue having fun until 1-2 am. Of course, if you need to leave earlier, you can, but just make sure to settle your bill before you go. It’s important to note that the entertaintment cost structure in China has significantly changed from what many may have experienced in the past. You won’t find the old pricing of just a few hundred yuan per person anymore — it’s a different ballgame now across the whole of China. That kind of pricing is no longer found anywhere in China today.
