Life's of a part time taxi driver ( non-sexual )

Time flies and it's Monday, normally ppl having monday blue on Monday so as me, as usual after my office job I need to rush back my house to collect taxi. That day was a hungry night so I decided to take my dinner before I drive.

Taken ayam peynet and a canof root beer, finish my dinner and took my cig out to smoke before I start my engine. " Cranking cranking " engine running, time to earn extra $$$.

That night wasn't a bad night, but it become quiet after midnight. Someone flag my taxi and his going to pasir ris mrt, I turn in to pasir ris mrt taxi stand, there was no taxi queuing over there, so I alight the customer and I wait over there for 5 min.

At about 12.20am, one big man run from mrt toward my taxi direction machiam I got free gift in my taxi, he open my door and say ....


Taiwan man: uncle, please send me to pasir ris street 71.

Taxi driver: okay, I personally like long trip then short trip
Though.

Taiwan man: uncle later u wait for me at my house downstair, I want to take my barang barang and I'm flying back to taiwan.

Taxi driver: okay, so you return Taiwan and not coming back anymore?

Taiwan man: yeah my wife just give birth and she is taking care of the baby, I don't think he can cope, since Taiwan market is not bad now so I decided to go back Taiwan work + see my baby. Not a bad husband right?

Taxi driver: good, u are a nice husband, your wife need you.

Taiwan man: uncle can u wait for me downstair, I pass you some $$$ just incase.

Taxi driver: no worries it's ok, I can wait here, you take your time pack your thing.

Taiwan man: thanks


After he get up, I come out of my taxi to excerise abit, take out my cig and light. Time flies and its about 20min.

some dragging sound and I know it's will be him, I turn my head and saw 3 big luggages, one backpack and few shirt, this man must be gone for good.

So immediately I open my boot and walk toward him, carry his bag, take his luggage, I help him load up everything and off we go to changi airport.

During the journey I wish him all the best in Taiwan and take good care of his wife and baby, he seem to be moved and appreciate my kind intention

T1 departure arrive, I stop the taxi meter it's was about $20, he pass me $50 and tell me, you can return me $20, which mean he are giving $10 tip to me. Ho Ho ho never did I expect that, helping and talking to him didn't expect to take tips, as a professional taxi driver it's my duty to do so. Giving helping hands and go extra customer dosnt lose me anything.

I help him unload his stuff and put ontop of the trolley after that I went over to shake his hand and say take care bro, see you again in Singapore if we have fate!

Time is close to 1am and I need to knock off, later need wake up at 6am to work. Proceed to drive home!!!!

it's time to chiong again, it's Tuesday and business as usual until I come accoss a lady at amk.

One lady flag my taxi at amk ave 10, I stop and pick her up, she's going woodland. Proceed with lentor then SLE, suddenly this lady ask me a funny question in hokkien.


Lady: uncle do you have any children?

Taxi driver: hmm nope, not yet marry, why?

Lady: oh I have a popular voucher, thought if you have children I can use it to pay taxi fare.

Taxi driver: ???

Lady: My apology to you I didn't tell u in the 1st place when boarding your taxi, I try to borrow $20 from my friends but they didn't lent it to me, I left $14 + $10 popular voucher, can I use popular voucher to pay u?

Taxi driver: but I don't use at all.

Lady: $10 is for tomorrow my kid to buy food. Sorry uncle.

Taxi: okay. In my head thinking

After I reach woodland, drop her outside main road near her block and taxi meter fare was $12++, when I turn back and look at her, she hold her 2 hand with 2 pcs of $2 and a $10 voucher, I pause for 5 sec and think, singapore living cost is high, Thought I'm not rich but since is Singaporean, we should help each other, so I told her I will collect $4 cash and the voucher you can keep it for your kid, buy some stuff from them.

She look at me after I told her about it, her reaction is full of sadness and appreciation. Before she alight the taxi and say thank you + sorry again to me, I told her it's okay, not a issue.

After that i drove off, I was still ponding about it, instead of collecting $4 from her I should have pass her $20 for her to buy something for her kid.

I regret I didn't do that, if I do that probably her kid will have better food for tomorrow.

If is within my help, I will help as much as possible, Guilty about it till now.

After that I drove for another 2 hr before I call it a day.


Next story will be 4 drunk teenagers flag me at geylang, one drunk Chinese teen attempt to kiss me and nearly cause an accident.

I think the "poor lady " is a scam .

If shes broke , she should be taking the bus instead .

at first i thought so too,

but then in sg really got pple too poor to take public transport cause ez-link not enough to cover the return fare.

sounds like a scam though cause if no money just beg the bus uncle normally they allow u to board.

After roaming from upper changi down to geylang, tons of taxi available at geylang, so I decided to turn to kallang then u turn back to geylang lorong 1 and start my roaming at geylang, after I do a u turn there was an Indian young chap running toward my taxi and flag me, I stop and wait for him he was with another 3 young teens, 2 of time are sober and 2 is drunk, I begin to panick, praying this 2 dude don't vomit on my taxi.


Indian teen: uncle, go to desker road.
Taxi driver: okay, your 2 friend still okay? Will they vomit?
Indian teen: do you have plastic bag?
Taxi driver: nope.im changing shift soon, please don't vomit.
Indian teen: drive fast fast okay?
Taxi driver: I try

Half of the journey, another young chap ask to open the window so I open for them. Suddenly one drunk Chinese teen say something

Chinese teen: uncle u damn steady lah, drive so fast
Taxi driver: "in my heart" machiam I want I fast meh? If u vomit I will cry.
Chinese teen: uncle come let me kiss u
Taxi driver: ._."


2 sec later Chinese teen get up his seat and want to kiss me, gosh that was so close, 1 inches range and he will touch my face, luckily I react fast and give him a slap on his face, that was where I avoid him and then my steering wheel nearly hit beside car. But lucky I'm skillful

I told them to be good else I will ask them go down the taxi, Indian teen whine at his friend and he went back to his seat.

Once I reach desker road, I drop and off and give them a piece of advice, boy it's late already, don't try to be funny outside later u got whoop up by other ppl.

Take good care of yourself.

Indian teen don't worry we will take good care of ourself.

After that I call it a day and rush back home to return taxi.

Next story - I received 10 point for been a helpful cabby from company spotted by someone.
