The truth is that all three leaders appear to be treating Ukip’s phenomenal upsurge as merely a bad dream, which will melt away as the General Election draws near.
But they are surely deluding themselves. For what we are witnessing is a roar of anger from voters, whose everyday concerns can be ignored by the political class no longer.

Speaking with the authentic voice of that class, Tony Blair advises that politicians should continue to ‘take these people on’, disregarding Ukip supporters’ views on mass immigration and Britain’s increasing subjection to Brussels.
He argues that it is wrong that the debate about Europe is dominated by ‘anti-immigrant feeling’.
How sickening to be lectured by the man who inflamed people’s fears by cynically dismantling border controls for party political advantage.
Lest we forget: under Blair, Labour’s policy was to use mass immigration to change the face of Britain and ‘rub the Right’s nose in diversity’
