Sorry to hear that, in the end I'm not doubting its an agency that is responding. I was pretty assertive that I wanted a specific type of girl to show up if I couldn't get the person in the ads. If she gave you her number... meaning you didn't ask for it, then yeah, it could be her number. You can use it to arrange another meeting. Indies do this to cut down on the whole "waiting at the bar" step of the process.
