I am looking for a bro who is familiar with the Japanese language or the Onsen scene. I want to find a Mixed gender Onsen to visit with my partner. Will be grateful if anyone can recommend one. Or point me in the right direction to search for one. Thanks!

for most ryokans, you can try booking the rooms with private baths. otherwise you can try looking for konyoku onsen 混浴温泉 (mixed gender baths).

also suggest you ask that in the japan threads in International Field Reports.

Dun go to the mixed gender Onsens..... you will regret.
Almost all of the ladies who frequent these type of Onsens are grannies. I have yet to spot any lady younger than 50 in any of those I have visited. And these grannies are not shy to "touch" you by using excuses like there is soap residue on your body and they wipe away for you. After a few of these scary encounters.... now I only go to those Onsen with segregated baths.

Any part. My destination will depend on the location of the Onsen itself. Yes, I know there are private Onsens for family type. Thats not what I am looking for. Look for onsen towns where you can do onsen hopping if that is what you want.
