It really depends on the luck and the time of the day. I must have taken silvercab several hundred times, and my waiting time has ranged between 3-30mins. What I like about silvercab is that if they have no cabs in your general area and you will need to wait for more than 20 mins, they will USUALLY tell u at the point of booking and ask if you still wanna proceed with the booking.

However, there are of course several occasions where I wasn't informed and wait for damn long too, just like what u had experienced. I will usually call and complain; they'll apologise and try to let u know the ETA. Looks like u suay suay kena the short straw, but don't write them off, they are still the best value IMO.
