This year songkran not sure how happening it will be, because Thailand still mourning for their King. The last new year eve has not much celebration.

At 5pm the parade will start at Sukhumvit Soi 24, the parade will travel to The Emporium where it will stop to put on a streetwide show with music and dancing. This part of the parade will end at 8pm. After 8, road traffic will open.

From 8pm until 9.30pm, Sukhumvit Road from Soi 22 all the way to Soi 1, crossing into Ploenchit Rd then into Phaya Thai Road at MBK leading up to Siam Square will be closed to traffic.

Khaosan Road, although somewhat quiet during for the mourning of the King will celebrate Songkran. Shop owners will have water filling stations readily available.
